Kevin Rudd warns of darkening financial times. That's strange, while far from perfect, things where looking pretty good before Rudd won the election. For example check out these statistics from the 2007-2008 budget, make sure to check out the next couple of pages as well. I suspect that this is just Rudd trying to protect himself from the political fall-out of his pathetic economic policy by blaming "global storm clouds" for any potential future economic woes in Australia.

Apparently Kevin Rudd won't rule out a rise in fuel prices under his new carbon trading scheme. What the ...? Does no one else realise that "carbon trading" is basically just forcing people who use fuel to pay another fee? Of course carbon trading will cause fuel prices to go up!

Good on them. And, John Albertson, mate, while it does assure that all robberies are going to involve guns, it also ensures that the innocent victims will be at least as well armed as their attackers, which makes it worse for law-abiding citizens how? You do realise that using a position of power to make work conditions more dangerous is at very best negligent? Or perhaps your worried about the violent criminals, I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure making a deliberate effort to make the commission of crime easier, would make you an accessory.

Apparently the 2020 Summit doesn't just consist of left-wing yes men, but fortunately the Labour party has made moves to restore my faith in the irrelevance of the 2020 Summit results.
