My ten goals, and what progress I've made (I don't think I'll be updating this every week):
- Run a half-marathon (21KM) in a decent time (less than 2 hours). Did a little bit of running, but not much.
- Achieve a moderate level of strength; 30 pushups, 60 situps, and 10 pullups should do as a start (based on the Australian Army's Commando Physical Fitness Entry Requirements). Checked where I was on this: 30 pushups (yay), 30 situps (booh), and 7 pullups (not great, but OK).
- Be at a half-decent martial artist. No Progress.
- Shoot a rifle and pistol accurately. Waiting.
- Have a decent knowledge of First Aid. Finished reading "Wilderness First Aid Manual" by Dr William W. Forgey.
- Be a member of the SES. No Progress.
- Have a basic working knowledge of at least one non-English language. No Progress.
- Make a decent profit on the share market (better than 5% annually). No Progress.
- Publish a short story, at least in one of the online magazines, but print would be better. Spent a little while on a story I started ages ago.
- Post regularly here (at least once a week). Several posts a couple of days ago.
