Tim's Bits and Pieces

I just realised that my last post was number 100. It's rather short and insignificant for a hundredth post, but that's how it goes sometimes.

I've decide to try restarting the blog, but this time with a more specific schedule. Rather than just posting at random, I'm going to have a schedule now, one post a week on Friday or Saturday, plus the occasional meta post such as this one. Scroll down to see my first new post.

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to stop updating this blog. I'm going to move it to /blog rather than the root of my web page, and redo the top level of the web page. I'm still finalizing the new layout and content so I'll leave it like it is for now.

Well, I haven't posted in near a month, oops. I have got an excuse though, I just started a new job the day after my last post. I'll try and get back into more regular posting.

I've a basic addition problem based captcha to my comments script. Feel free to try it out.

I've written a Perl script to add support for comments to my blog, try clicking on the comments link at the bottom of a post to try it out. If you want to have a look at the source code or use it yourself grab the actual script.

Just a quick note too let you know I'm back. I've been away in Tasmania for about a month now, which should explain the lack of posts :-). I'll do a write-up on my holidays in the next couple of days.
