Dingo on Aboriginal Drinking:

What you should be worrying about is who is giving them access ... who
     sells alcohol? Not black people
...
We (indigenous people) don't have a problem.
...
(The) Aboriginal drinking problem is white people selling to them.

Yeah, because unlike white folk, Aboriginals lack the intellectual capacity
to make decisions for themselves. </sarcasm> I wonder what would happen
if a white guy said that Aboriginals where incapable of choosing not to waste
their money on excessive alcohol? I suspect he'd be lambasted as a racist jerk and
rightfully so. I'm not aware of any evidence that suggests that Aboriginals have
significantly less intellectual capacity then whites, but perhaps Mr. Dingo is
aware of something I'm not?

Can we please move on as a society and acknowledge that Aboriginals, just
like every other human race, have the capacity to not be alcoholic dead-beats?

Affirmative Action is inherently racist.

Now that I've got all the lefties upset I suppose I should explain myself.
Let's play a little game of "Pick the Racist Statement":

Statement One:

"Let's encourage businesses to employ more white people."

Statement Two:

"Let's encourage businesses to employ more black people."

Why on Earth is one of these statements racist, but the other is the epitome
of racial brotherhood? Of course some people, perhaps even most people, would
say that it's to make up for all the disadvantages racial minorities suffer
from. Well, that may be true*, but it doesn't make
it any less racist, or to put it another way, it might be the lesser of two
evils, but it's still an evil.

Also, did you ever think about how patronising a lot of forms of affirmative
action are? How about scholarships for instance? I'd love to hear some one
explain how paying black people money to do something that white people can do
without any such reward is not patronising. It reminds me of how when I was a
kid, the dentist would give me a sticker when I didn't try and bite his hand of,
but doesn't now I'm an adult.

* I wouldn't be surprised if the real reason most people
support affirmative action and the like was actually white guilt.

Kim du Toit has an interesting <a

Kim du Toit has an interesting article on
racism on his new blog, Geopoliticus. My favorite quote
from the article is this:

If I am to believe that Blacks and their Black-majority government can rebuild a
city by themselves, then I should likewise be able to castigate them for their
failure without fear of being branded a racist.

To paraphrase, if we believe that a black man is capable of being a good president, we
should be able to say that he is not without fear of being branded a racist, or
if we believe that black parents are able to look after their own children, we
should be able to castigate them without being seen as racist. If I said not to
vote for someone because he is black that would obviously be racist, but if I said not to
vote for someone, who happened to be black, because he is incompetent, somehow
that is racist also. Or if I said not to give someone welfare payments because
they're black that would be racist, but if I say not to give them welfare
payments, because they are not looking after their children, that is also racist
(if they're black). What is the matter with the whole "black rights" group? Do
they earnestly believe that somehow being incompetent, or even evil, is an
integral side effect of having a bit more melanin in your skin?

Apparently "Nelson
ruined the day" with his apology speech yesterday, the 13th of February. I
wonder how they figure that. You should go read his
speech for yourself.

A quick summary is that some people, including
members of the government, many with the best of intentions, caused
some serious problems for parts of the Aboriginal community, which we today are
sorry for and deeply regret. While we pause to apologise for past injustices and
mistakes, we should not forget the injustices and suffering in the Aboriginal
community today, and we should recommit ourselves to rectifying these problems.

It appears the the main thing some people disliked about it was that he dared
to list some of the injustices in the Aboriginal community that were actually
caused by other Aboriginals. How dare he suggest that some problems in
the Aboriginal community are caused by other Aboriginals! And, how dare he
accompany an apology for past injustices with a commitment to rectify
current injustices. Tut-tut, you'd think he was serious about Aboriginal welfare
or something.

Also I find the actions of the people who turned their backs on him kind of
childish. I keep thinking of a child blocking their ears and running away
yelling "La-La La-La, I can't hear you!". Though for balance Nelson's
attitude towards getting an apology makes me think of a child threatening to
hold their breath until you say sorry. So neither side to this argument is the
picture of maturity.

This is
well worth a read. It makes the claim that the main representatives of the
so-called "Stolen Generation"
where actual fact abandoned by their families and than taken in by orphanages,
[white] foster families and the like. If these claims are true, and I have no
reason to doubt them, it puts the Labour governments plans to issue an apology
in a different light.

Also good on the author (Piers Akerman) and his editor for publishing an article that so
clearly goes against the established mainstream media doctrine.

I watched the film "To End

I watched the film "To End
All Wars" on Saturday night. This was an interesting film about the treatment
of Allied POW by the Japanese. One
thing I found amusing about the film though was when "Yanker" was talking to one
of the other prisoners he said that he was not a "Kamikaze". That word was
introduced to the English language in the period from 1944 to 1945, while this
movie was set a couple of years before that. I know I'm nit-picking, but still I
think it's funny.

Other than that the movie was reasonably good and it reminded me why I hate
evolution so much. Some of the most heinous, state-approved, war crimes on
record were committed by the Japanese and Germans in World War II. Both these
cultures are known for their hospitality and politeness, but they honestly
believed evolution and that they were more highly evolved than the other races
around them. Therefore they believed that they were justified in committing all
manner of atrocities. Yes, the Japanese also believed all other races the be
their inferiors. See this short
article and if you want to read the article it references try <a
